Fall Kick Off Guide

Starting a new school year is full of excitement and there were many seasons it came with new curriculum, new goals, new initiatives, and lots of new faces!

Planning and preparing for a new season of ministry must take intention!

It is easy to believe the lie that Fall kick off has to be extravagant. The truth is, it really just needs to be intentional. If your church does a huge Fall kick off with bouncy houses and food--great! If you can't imagine planning another big event after Summer programs--that's okay too. The start of a new season is all about reminding and refocusing. Everyone is coming back into new rhythms and as the church, we get to welcome people back with open arms and remind them of what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus. How fun is that?!

We’ve created a resource to help you think through and kick off a new season with your volunteers, kids, and parents.

Here is a quick overview:

  • Volunteers: There are 4 buckets for 4 categories I think through when planning a volunteer training. Use these buckets to plan your training program.

  • Kids: I love creating space to remember & celebrate. Invite the kids to remember all the things that God has done over the Summer and celebrate His faithfulness!

  • Parents: Now is the time to equip and encourage them to jump back into discipleship rhythms. How can you remind them of your mission & vision, and equip them with resources to disciple their kids throughout the week.
